Last 2 Weeks of July 07

We've been really busy the last couple of weeks trying to encourage people to spend time on the web site, we're getting around 100 + visitors a day and want to give it a comunity feel, somewhere you might want to hang around for a while, get visitors to bump into one another and meet up.

The web site has been entirely built by us, big learning curve but good fun to do.

Over the last 2 weeks we have added a comments page so visitors can leave feedback on the site, the content or just to chat with us. We have also added a chat room, MidnightChat, so if we're about we'll be logged in waiting to hear from anyone that wants to talk, you might catch us out during an imaging session with one of the scopes if it's a nice night, could be interesting!!! We have also added a form so visitors can sign up for email posts from us, keeping you up-dated with news, events and general Midnightskys stuff. If you have any suggestions how we can improve the site please let us know, your feedback is really important to us.

Add a comment to the site here http://midnightskys.com/comments.html

Or stop by and say Hi in the chat room http://client0.addonchat.com/sc.php?id=235049

Born 1962 in Norfolk, England, the son of a game keeper, Paul spent the long summers of his early years immersed in the countryside surrounding his home in the sleepy village of Worstead...
... After leaving school a lust for adventure and foreign climates drove him to travel extensively throughout Europe, the Near East and North Africa before returning to Norfolk in the late eighties.
He later became the third British person to complete the “Marathon Des Sables” a 150 mile endurance race across the South Moroccan Sahara. Experiencing the desert night skies during this adventure, “…seemingly on fire with stars” he recalls, rekindled a life long passion for astronomy.
The pieces he creates all have their origin in science. Transforming the data collected during an imaging session onto canvas, a process that can take many weeks, he hopes to bring the color and beauty of the universe into everyday lives in a completely unique way.
He currently lives in Norfolk with his partner Jenny, sharing his time between a full time career, sleepless nights at the scope and developing his art and other interests. He is also working towards a degree in planetary science and astronomy.
